Deciding what to paint comes from a wide range of interests. I do like things to have punch. I like my paintings not only to capture the essence of the subject matter but also to work in a special, unique view that perhaps most individuals would not consider.

A variety of stylized graphic approaches appeal to my creative spark. My previous advertising career strongly influences me here and I often laugh to myself when I finish a piece and find myself wondering what headline I could work into it!

My style and subject matter have evolved through the years with a focus to ‘merge’ more abstract into my newer paintings.
